To me, no spring has fully blossomed until my first bear hunt is under my belt. I absolutely love to hunt bears, and have hunted them in at least three states or Canadian provinces every year for the last couple decades. There’s just something about seeing a bear in the woods that gives me goose bumps. Regardless of how many bears I see or tag, it never gets old.
I’m writing this on May 7 in hunting camp, a comfortable spot just north of High Level, Alberta, which is just about as far north as you can go in this province.
