After a weekend of bass fishing in NYC’s Central Park, I wasn’t surprised to hear rumors that snakeheads have been spotted in the Harlem Meer, the park’s northernmost pond.

I didn’t have an encounter with a snakehead while there, but if I ever do, I hope it plays out like this…

You can see the fish leave his shoreline hangout to come up and destroy the angler’s top-water frog. The fish proceeds to destroy everything in its path on the way to shore.

This video is pretty cool, but it’s important to be aware that snakeheads are a very serious problem to natural fisheries. Check your local regulations to see how to handle a snakehead if caught.
