In the second episode, which airs this Friday at 9 p.m. on Discovery, Mykel and Ruth find themselves in a particularly hot scenario. The couple are camping in the Louisiana backcountry when a wildfire quickly spreads toward them. Realizing they can’t outrun it, Mykel builds a backfire – charring the ground, making a fuel-free area where they can escape the flames.
